About Last Night...

Nicole told me to blog something because she's bored at work and I'm supposed to amuse her. So I dunno if this is very amusing, but it's all I can come up with right now.

Anyway at the end of my block is "European Auto" mechanic. Their shop is always full of exotic cars. But usually exotic only means Ferraris and Porsches. Last night though on my way home I was confronted with a glorious site. Sprawled across the sidewalk was a Lamborghini. It was beautiful. After I wiped my drool off it's luscious blue fender I ran home to grab my digital camera so I could take the following blurry pictures of it and the Ferrari of the same color parked next to it.

One Trailor to Rule Them All

OMG!! My friend Nicole alerted me that the Snakes on a Plane trailor has been spotted and seen frolicking naked at the Lincoln Park zoo flashing people near, yup you guessed it, the snake cages. Also Tom Cruise and Issac Hayes are on crack.

I be slackin'

As I sit here at the co-lo waiting for one of our database servers to sync so we can put it into the cluster I realize it's been a long time since I posted. So here I am posting. I'm up to $18.75 for my Lent 25 cents per swear word thing. That means I've said a bad word let's see 18 divided by 4 that's umm... uhh... what the hell is that? Wait that's not right. It should be 18 times 4. That's umm 40 plus 32 and another 3 for the 75 cents. Yup, 75 swear words. Or curse words if that's how you say it. Kinda like I say coke but some people say soda or pop. Let's see what else is going on with me... Illini won last night that was good. Sopranos was awesome last Sunday. Just awesome. I can't wait for this Sunday. I thought Big Love was decent enough for me to watch it again on Sunday. OMG as I write this, my partner in crime over at FeedBurner who is also at the co-lo but at a different cage just said: "Because, its like an explosion of heavy jewish nerds back here." HAHAHA!!! Don't get me wrong, I love Jews. I dated one once even. But I was back there so I know what he's talking about and it's just funny. And as he said just after, "(I only say that because it adds comedy, and because I see the are all wearing Yarmulkes)" We aren't racist I swear. Or is that religionist? I never understood that. I grew up my whole life thinking Jewishinity was just another religion. And then at some point it became a race too. Perhaps it always was a race? I don't really get it. Can't we all just get along? See doesn't that make me not racist? You know what's funny? I said above, "what else is happening in my life" and then I talked about TV and Sports. Not actually anything *I* am doing. Hrmmph. Oh I know! I made Knight-Champion (Rank 9) in World of Warcraft this week. How about that?! Gawd I'm a dork.

Oh man. All I want to do is eat a snack! There are snacks every where in my office. There is a giant jar of jelly belly's in the kitchen, next to a bowl of licorice, next to a bowl of spicy peanuts. It's killing me!! Especially since I ate a small meatless lunch. We are out of bottled water at the office and I just found out we aren't getting our next shippment of water until Friday!!! Argh!! So I'm drinking an apple juice. Don't hate me Baby Jesus! Please!!

I was already up to 50 cents by 9am

So today begins Lent. For the past couple years I've been gathering up a dime for each swear word I use during Lent, and then I donate it at the end. This year I've up'd the ante to a quarter per swear word. And since I had already dropped the S-bomb twice this morning getting ready for work, you can see I'm off to a great start. By Easter, I should be broke and the poor should be rich. I also decided that another thing I'm going to do during this Lent is some amount of exercise each morning. Today I decided to do ten push-ups. I was on three and I was certain I wasn't going to make it to the end but with the power of our lord and savior Jesus Christ, I persevered. :-D Remarkably, that little episode was not responsible for any of the swearing this morning.

Tonight I'm headed out to the burbs. My Godmother, Jane's husband passed away and the wake is tonight. :-( Afterward I'm headed to Ash Wednesday mass with my parents at St. Alexander's. My mom will be up signing during the mass.
